🌟 One Year Stronger — Our Heart, Our Mission

One year after the Eaton Fire forever changed Altadena, Altadena Talks Foundation (ATF) stands rooted, resilient, and committed to long-term community recovery.

What began as an urgent response to disaster has become a permanent public-interest media and recovery organization dedicated to helping residents rebuild, reconnect, and move forward with dignity.

We are no longer just responding to loss — we are building what comes next.

💙 Community at the Center

Since January 7, 2025, ATF has worked alongside families, elders, youth, and small businesses affected by displacement, housing loss, and economic disruption. Through daily broadcasting, direct outreach, and community partnerships, we provide residents with reliable information, recovery resources, and a trusted platform to be heard.

Our work ensures that no one has to navigate rebuilding alone.

📡 Public-Interest Media & Community Programs

At the heart of our work is Altadena Talks, a daily community podcast and multimedia broadcast serving as a real-time hub for disaster recovery updates, housing and FEMA guidance, mental health resources, and local civic engagement.

Building on this platform, ATF delivers programs that turn recovery into opportunity, including:

Youth Media & Storytelling Initiative — training young people in podcasting, journalism, and digital media

Community Resource Navigation & Disaster Recovery Education — helping residents access housing, legal, financial, and rebuilding support

Workforce & Creative Skills Development — providing media production and transferable job skills

Scholarships & Mentorship Pathways — connecting youth and emerging leaders to guidance and long-term opportunity

These programs don’t just provide services — they restore agency, voice, and economic possibility.

🏡 Rooted in Altadena, Built for the Long Term

Altadena is not just where we work — it is who we are. Our grassroots, community-led approach ensures that programs are shaped with residents, not simply delivered to them. From youth voices to elder stories, from neighborhood partnerships to civic conversations, we are cultivating connection, trust, and shared progress.

✨ Looking Ahead — Together

The Eaton Fire tested our community. One year later, we honor that moment not only by remembering, but by continuing the work of rebuilding with purpose.

With your support, Altadena Talks Foundation will remain:

a trusted voice for the community

a connector to resources and opportunity

and a platform where Altadena’s stories shape its future

We are rebuilding.
We are rising.
And we are doing it — together.
